Fall Decor Tour

I finally caved!

I pulled out my fall decor.

I tried to wait until the beginning of fall but with all the decorations popping up everywhere I just decided I couldn't wait any more.

I thought I'd take you for a tour to see what I did.

I'll start outside on my porch.

Here is my wreath that I previously showed you. I made this last year and it held up well in storage and in our move.

My little welcome sign I bought on sale at Michael's last year.

Just a glimpse of where my sign is.

Here are my glitter pumpkins that I also previously shared with you.
You can slightly see them shine in the sun in this picture.
I just bought some mums at Lowes and then the hay bail from Michael's.
Add in some pine cones and fake leaves.
I still need to tweak this a bit but it was so hot when I was setting it up I had to go inside.

Here is a view of my steps and porch from afar.
I also hung up a new flag that has berry wreath and our monogram on it.

Time to head inside.

I'll start at my dining room table.
I just put out some candles, berries, and this turkey on what is actually a cloth napkin.
Now there is a story with this turkey. Travis found it at TJ Maxx and just HAD to have it. His reason... to make it into a trophy. But until that day comes, I told him I will use it in my decor so here it is.

Up close of the turkey.

Over to the kitchen now:
On our island I put this little set up.
I bought the felt place mat at T J Maxx for $2.
The harvest sign was 40% off at Michael's so I got it for $2 as well.
The cheese dome was my thrift find from a week ago or so and I put it on top of a wooden candle holder to raise it up more. Then I just put some items in it from Michael's that were also 40% off.

Pumpkin towel from TJ Maxx. Set of 2 for $3.

I placed two votive candle holder and this metal pumpkin on a shelf unit in our powder room.
I am thinking about moving it into my kitchen on the window sill. We'll see.
But the pumpkin was from Hobby Lobby a few years ago and the votives are from Michael's, I think, a few years ago.

I bought these two pumpkins from Hobby Lobby this year. I put them on our entertainment center under our television.

And of course I had to change up the shutter decor.
So a new wreath. I used fall papers and cut out letters to spell Fall and put in each frame. And then made a pumpkin and apple garland.

A little closer shot of the garland. Here is the tutorial on how to make it.

Up close shot of my wreath. I just wrapped a wreath form in yarn- super easy!

I'm in the process of making a Fall themed subway art but it just wasn't ready in time for pictures. When it is finished I will be sure to share a picture of it though.

So that's it! I don't go too crazy. Just enough to make it feel like fall.
I will add a few hints of Halloween here and there once October comes around but for the most part, it will all stay the same.

Hope you enjoyed the tour!

Have you decorated for fall yet?

  1. I love how you spelled out FALL on the shutters. The trophey turkey is pretty funny, too. I agree I think he should be used as a decoration.
