I shared this over at Craft-o-Maniac over the weekend but just in case you missed it there, I wanted to share it here.
Well, you all know I have a love for cardboard tubes and it has been far too long since I used them in a project. I needed something for my shutters and I previously made some flowers out of the tubes so I thought "Why not make a few more and make a garland out of it?" So that's what I did! Plus, I had everything on hand already so this project was pretty much FREE! :)

Supplies:
-Toilet paper/Paper Towel tubes
-Hot Glue gun
-Acrylic paint
-Ruler
-Ribbon
How to:
To start, press the tube flat.
(Sorry, this photo rotated and I can't fix it!)Take your ruler and mark every half inch down the entire tube. Mark on each edge.
Cut the strips apart.
Then, I find it easiest to group them together for each flower. So groups of 5 and 6.
Paint the groups that colors of your choice.Start painting on the inside and then paint the outside.
Once your pieces are dry, it's time to create the flowers.I like to dry fit the flowers together before I glue.
Then, put a little bit of glue on one end and sandwich the pieces together.
Here is my 5 petal flower.
And here is my 6 petal flower.
I strung them up on sheer green ribbon, weaving in and out of two of the petals.
Space them out how you like and tied them up onto my shutters.
Perfect for spring time!
Now I just need to determine what I want to make for my center shutter for spring!I have a few ideas... just need the time to make it!
Linking up to some of these fabulous parties.
