Holiday Open House Party; Week 1

Welcome to Week 1 of my Holiday Open House party! 

 Today is the time to share your house decor. 

You can share your living room, dining room, kitchen, etc. decorations. 

Here are my decorations! 

 I'll start with my entry way. 

I placed my wooden snowflake on my mirror and then put the little metal box on my table.

I love to hang an item in front of a mirror for a little something extra.

And I use this box to collect all the Christmas cards we receive in the mail.

In our front window, I placed our Christmas tree.

Hi everyone! 

I hope that you guys had a fabulous Thanksgiving day and weekend! 

Did any of you go and do some shopping of Black Friday? 

How about getting up all your holiday decorations? 

I didn't do ANY shopping but I am ALL decorated and ready for Christmas! :) 

The past few years I've thrown a Holiday Open House party where you share your holiday decorations. 

And it is that time of year again to party! WOOOO!

Miss P's 5 Month Adventures

My baby girl just turned 6 mths old.

HOLY COW!! 

Where has the time gone?!

I can't believe it! 

Month 5 sure was a fun one though! 

Here is a little recap of her adventures.

Just like every other month, we had to have our little photo shoot on her 5 month birthday. 

P finally had a taste of solid food. 

Rice cereal and Oatmeal are a staple in our house now and she LOVES both! 

She NEVER made a funny face at all when she tried either and she makes the cutest "Mmmmm" noise right before she takes every bite of food.

Who Wants an iPad?! :)

Have you picked up your issue of PEOPLE Magazine's Annual Sexiest Man Alive issue?

 You sure need to run out and buy a copy if you haven't!

Why, hello Mr. Tatum! 

Like I stated in the beginning and in the title, it is chopped full of eye candy! 

I wasn't too positive who they would pick as Sexiest Man Alive and when I first heard it was Channing I thought, "Really?," but after looking at the magazine I think he was a good choice. 

Christmas Tree Hurricane Vase

Time to start pulling out all of your holiday decorations. Crazy! 

This year has flown by but I am definitely ready for some holiday cheer! 

I decided to get into the holiday spirit by creating a Christmas Tree Hurricane Vase with the help of Mod Podge. 

I love Mod Podge! It can be used to create so many different things on so many types of materials.

 

This was my first attempt at using Mod Podge on glass but this was a fairly simple project. It just needed ample time for things to dry since I was working on glass. 

Here is how I created it:

 Supplies:

-Glass Hurricane Vase

-Scrapbook Paper

-Cutting Machine of some sorts

-Super Gloss Mod Podge

-Matte Mod Podge

- Mod Podge Roller Applicator

-Mod Podge Dimensional Magic, Silver Glitter

-Mod Podge Dimensional Magic, Gold Glitter

-Folk Art Silver Glitter Paint (optional)

-Epsom Salt or Kosher Salt

Blogging Tip: Adding Labels to Your Blog

 I thought I would share another blogging tip today. 

Today I am going to show you how to add and use labels on your blog.

Many of you may already do this on your blog but perhaps if you are a newer blogger you don't know about labels.

Labels help your readers find a post on your blog with a certain topic. 

Here is how to add them:

On your Blogger dashboard, click the drop down menu and select the Layout option.

Once your blog layout comes up, click on the "Add a Gadget" link to open the gadget window.
