I still had my live evergreen wreath on my front door from Christmas and wanted to replace it but wasn't sure with what.
I didn't have a Valentine's Day wreath for my front door so I got to work on making one.
It was a pretty simple wreath to create as well.
Here's the how-to:
Supplies:
-Wreath form- I used a 14" form
-Tulle
-Ribbon
-Cardboard tube pieces (toilet paper or paper towel rolls)
-Felt
First, wrap your wreath form with ribbon.
Then, cut your tulle into long stripes. I cut mine 12" long.
Tie your tulle into knots onto the wreath form leaving the ends long.
I used light pink and hot pink tulle so I alternated colors as I went.
I chose not to cover my whole wreath form in the tulle. I tied just a little over half way around.
I then created some rosettes out of felt.
Made some hearts using the cardboard tube pieces and painted them pink.
I cut some ribbon pieces and made little loops with them.
And lastly, I made some medallions out of paper and used some chipboard letters to spell out "love."
I glued the medallions onto the area with the tulle.
I then clustered some of the hearts, rosettes and loops near the top of the opposite side.
If you recall, I clearly made way to many flowers, hearts and loops in the pics above. I had other plans and once I got started glueing, I wasn't too keen on it.
In the end, I am pretty happy with how it turned out.
The hot pink sure pops off our teal front door too! :)
