P's 1st Birthday Garden Party Decorations

Yesterday I shared Miss P's first birthday party.
I left out all the decorations from that post since it would have made that post super long so here are all the fun little details I created for her party.

As I stated yesterday, I created the invitations and tried to make the party coordinate along with them.
Everything I designed for the party, I got printed at Office Max and they turned out great!

I guess I will start with the decor I had on the outside by our front door and work my way through our house to the patio.
You may recall I made a one similar to this for a friend's little girl's Winter "One"derland party so I changed it up a bit to match P's party.
I cut the 1 out of foam core board and covered it in burlap. I then took some fabric I already had in the color of her party and used my pinking shears to cut out different sized circles. I layered them together and then used a little embellishment in the center to make them more flower like. Glued them in a little grouping at the top for a little pop of color.

Walking into the house, guest first viewed our new mantle (which I still need to share the big reveal) all decorated.
I placed some photos of P on the mantle with some little birdies and flowers in mason jars.
I also created this fun "Stat" board to share all sorts of fun facts about Miss P.

Here is a closer look at the stat board.
I'll be sharing this on the blog a little later. It's super easy!

Next to the mantle was the back drop for the photo booth.
I wanted a bright, colorful wall that looked like flowers.
I love how this came out!
(I'll be sharing this too!)

Next to the photo booth was some props I created.
Party hats, a little chalkboard sign, a mason jar full of lips, glasses, and mustaches.
I also placed Miss P's flower petal headband there as well.
Another mason jar with flowers for a little something extra.

Family shot of us in the photo booth.

Across from the photo booth, I decorated the shutters and console table for the party as well.
I placed pictures of P in the frames at different ages- Newborn, 3 mths, 6 mths, and 9 mths.
I created the sign in the center to match the invitations along with the one in the frame.
On the console, I placed the favor bags and some envelopes for guests to leave their addresses so I can easily send out Thank You notes.

Here is the sign I created for the shutters.
Something simple and just what I wanted.

I just taped it to a piece of foam core board
Taped some ribbon on the back an it was ready to hang!

Closer shot of the frame and the favors.
I created the favor tags as well. Since it was a garden party, I gave away Gladiolus bulbs to the guest and then the guests with slightly older children, I created goodie bags for them.

Here is the picture I made for the frame.

These were the tags I made for the top of the favor bags.

Most of the party was out on the patio where the food and tables were all set up.
We also had some games to play as well.

To match the mason jar on the invitations, I bought some of the small anniversary blue Ball jars to go along with the large vintage ones I already had and filled them with a ton of different flowers I had bought.
I just placed them in the center of the tables on a little bit of burlap.
I was hoping to use more burlap but it was SOOOOO windy that day, I just went with a little of it.

Here is the food table, if you couldn't tell already. lol
I hung a birthday banner on it, used some burlap on the top and placed all the food on top.
Hung a little flower banner over the table as well for a little extra color outside.

I served a veggie tray and dip, a fruit salad, a pasta salad.
We also served a tuna salad and a chicken salad with bread and toppings so guests could make their own little sandwiches.

I made the birthday banner by cutting the pennants out of burlap and just used some coral ribbon to connect them all. I made some stencils using my Cricut and just stenciled them onto the burlap in aqua paint.

Here are the cupcakes and P's smash cake.
I bought a few different cake stands to put them on and just used one of Travis's vintage crates to elevate P's Smash cake a little higher than the rest.

I just went to a large grocery store chain for the cake and cupcakes. The smash cake was free. I was definitely NOT really thrilled with how they came out though.
I took a picture and when I told them the colors, which pretty much were exactly what was in the picture, I was thinking they would actually be light yellow,  light pink, and more of a light blue color, NOT teal but I didn't pay much so I guess I got what I paid for.

P's smash cake.

I designed cupcake toppers as well for P's cupcakes.

I decided to design two different toppers just for the heck of it.

Moving on over to the beverage station now.
I totally made Travis build me a planting table JUST so I could use it for the beverage station at her party, LOL, and decorated it with another flower banner.
I bought clear mason jars for the cups and then some Daisy cut lids. I then used the straws I bought at SNAP last year.
I had a few drink options for our guests.
A beverage dispenser filled with Sweet Tea, another filled with some Strawberry Lemonade that I made, and then just some water bottles.

I also designed some water bottle wraps as well to add a little something to the bottles.

And lastly, I borrowed a vintage high chair from a friend of mine. It was already painted the turquoise so it fit perfectly into the party!
The top of the high chair had slats on it with slight gaps between them, so we just placed some "Press and Seal" wrap on top to keep it clean. Worked like a charm! :)
I made another burlap banner for the front of the high chair saying "One."
I also made the party hat Miss P is wearing here as well. (Another item I will be sharing later.)

So that's a wrap on the decorations for Miss P's first birthday party.
Stay tuned in the coming days, weeks, for posts and tutorials on some of the items you see here.
