It is too early for a fall project?
Seeing that September is literally right around the corner, I thought why not go ahead and make a little something for fall.
Hope you don't mind! :)
Here's how I created it.
-Hot Glue Gun
Cut the burlap into strips.
Hot glue one end of the strip to the wreath form and begin wrapping the form.
Cover form completely.
Then take the same color burlap and cut it into squares.
For the next step, you will need the burlap squares and the floral pins.
Take the square and place each corner of the burlap onto one end of the pin.
The front should look like this.
I placed two pieces of burlap on each pin, one of each arm.
Push the pins into the wreath form.
Cover the entire form with the burlap bubbles.
If you can see some of the floral pins, just adjust the burlap until it covers the pin. Super easy.
I then decided I wanted to add some sort of flower along with the berries so I pulled out orange and red burlap and got to work.
I cut the red burlap into strips.
For a bigger flowers, cut the strips a little longer and wider.
I then glued each end of the strip together.
Glue the pieces together forming a flower.
I then placed a button in the center to cover up the center.
Cut three circles, all different sizes.
And, I cut super small strips and glued them into a square.
I used Fray Check on the edges of the circles to help prevent the burlap from pulling apart.
Stack the pieces together.
I used the small squares between each circle to add a little depth between them for a more layered look.
Top with a button and you are good!
I then just placed the flowers on the burlap until I had the arrangement that I liked.
When I was happy with how they were placed, I hot glued them into place.
Lastly, I tore apart the berry wreath picks and pushed the wire of the berries into the wreath form until I was happy with how it looked.
Just placed a ribbon on the back for hanging and it was complete!
I am happy with how my first fall project of the year came out.
I plan on using it on my fireplace when I get it all decked out for fall so be on the lookout for that post once I get it all set up! :)
Linking up to some of these parties.
