Marie from Scissors and Spoons is here today with a great idea for some cute snowflake ornaments!
Hi! I am Marie. I share my cooking and craft projects on my blog Scissors and Spoons.
I am so excited to be here to share a quick, easy, and inexpensive craft using Thanksgiving leftovers.
Nope, not those leftovers, these ones:
I hate seeing plastic end up in the trash so when everyone finished Thanksgiving dinner I collected all of the silver colored plastic utensils. I wasn’t sure what I was going to do with a bunch of used plastic forks and knives when I saved them from the trash, but the handles reminded me of a snowflake pattern so I decided to make them into snowflake Christmas tree ornaments.
Second, using a hot glue gun, I glued the pieces of utensil to the back of glass gems in a snowflake pattern.
That’s it! Not bad for something that would have otherwise ended up in the trash huh? I think that these ornaments would be especially cute on a kitchen/cooking/baking theme Christmas tree, but wouldn’t look out of place on a more traditional tree.
Come visit me at Scissors and Spoons to see other easy and inexpensive Christmas crafts and ornaments that I have made like these Pine Cone Christmas Trees, Scrap Book Paper Star Garland, Salt Dough Snowflake Ornaments, and Twine Ornaments.
Allison thanks for allowing me to visit today.
Thanks for sharing Marie!! Those are fantastic!
