Tasty Tuesday: Bacon Cheeseburger Rotini

I've been on a real cooking kick lately and Travis is loving it! 

I actually made a whole bunch of recipes that I've had pinned on Pinterest and they have all been a success! 

After one of my shopping trips for ingredients, I noticed a recipe on the back of a pack of Target brand shredded cheese I bought and thought that it looked and sounded pretty good so it got added to my to make list. 

Bacon Cheeseburger Rotini

(Sorry for the not so perfect pictures! Trying to cook at night and not so great lighting in the kitchen!)

Here is how to make it:

Ingredients:

-6 slices of Bacon

-1 lb. ground beef

-2 cups water

-1 can (10.75 oz) condensed tomato soup

-1/4 cup ketchup

-2 1/2 cups rotini

-1 cup Ceddar Jack Shredded Cheese

The 7 month Adventures of Miss P

Holy cow! 

How did my baby just turn 8 months old? 

Time is flying by WAY too fast! 

Well, guess that means it is time to recap her 7 month adventures. 

 Started the month off with our monthly photoshoot on her 7 month birthday.

That evening, she started Army crawling REALLY well! AHHHHH! 

I am so thanksful she waited until Travis got home before she decided to become mobile!

She turned 7 months old on Christmas Eve so she got to experience her very first Christmas this month. 

And HOLY PRESENTS, BATMAN!!!! 

Talk about one spoiled child!!!!

Tulle Valentine's Day Wreath Tutorial

I still had my live evergreen wreath on my front door from Christmas and wanted to replace it but wasn't sure with what. 

I didn't have a Valentine's Day wreath for my front door so I got to work on making one.

It was a pretty simple wreath to create as well. 

Here's the how-to:

Supplies:

-Wreath form- I used a 14" form

-Tulle

-Ribbon

-Cardboard tube pieces (toilet paper or paper towel rolls)

-Felt

I have another printable for you guys. 

I was just playing around one evening and created this printable. 

I made on regular colors and then made a second one with a more vintagey-antique feel.

Dresser Mirror Turned Bathroom Mirror + Half Bath Reveal

We have been working on our half bath lately adding new tile floors and working on a new mirror-light project.

For about a week our bathroom was tore apart and the sink and toilet was sitting in between our kitchen and family room... awesome.

But it is finally complete with new floors, new mirror, and new art work!

 Here is it! 

To start, I will show you the new mirror.

We used to just have a plain oval mirror on the wall, no frame, just a mirror. 

We changed the light fixture before Travis deployed because it was just one of those ugly vanity lights of just bulbs but they didn't center the hole for the light over the mirror when the house was built so when we changed it, the light fixture wasn't centered over the mirror anymore. This was our solution! 

BTW- when I suggested this to Travis, he thought it was crazy. lol

Travis found this dresser mirror at a little thrift store down the road from us for $5.

(He was a little excited to work on it when he brought it home so I didn't have time to get a full before picture!)

It had two crazy points on the top of it above the very side moulding pieces so he cut them off and then gave the whole frame a sanding since it was just a stained wood frame.

Vintage Inspired Bird Art

I have been looking for some art work for our half bath FOREVER now and just couldn't find anything that I love or am willing to spend the money on. 

I saw this picture on Joss and Main and LOVED it but when I clicked on it, it cost over $100! 

 WHAT?! No way I was going to pay that so I decided to try making my own. 

We just put down new tile floors and did a whole mirror/light project thingy so I knew that I wanted to finally get some art done to put up in there. 

Off to Michael's I went to get some supplies and this is what I came up with:

 I'm thrilled with them and wondered what took me so long to make some! 

It is a quick project too. 

Well, would have been done in one day if my printer didn't decide to stop working and now I am waiting for a whole new printhead to arrive in the mail to replace my old one. UGH! 

But anyways- here is how I created them.

Valentine's Day Chalkboard Printables

Guess I better start thinking about Valentine's Day already! 

I thought I would jump on the Chalkboard bandwagon (hope you aren't too sick of it yet) and make some fun printables.

I thought I would add some color to them because you know, there IS colored chalk.

Styrofoam Snowmen Family Tutorial

Look at me... sharing another tutorial! :) 

And this won't be the only one this week. 

I had this idea to make these little snowmen one day out of the blue. 

 Super simple project and would be excellent to do with some kiddos and let them dress their snowman any way they want too.

Here is the how to:

(WARNING: SUPER picture heavy!!)

Supplies: 

 -Styrofoam Balls in 3 different sizes. I bought 4", 3", and 2" inch balls and the harder more condensed Styrofoam that even had a hole pre drilled for a dowel rod.

-Mod Podge

-Dowel Rod

-Glitter

-Exacto Knife

-Felt

-Super Mini Pom-Poms

-Low Temp Hot Glue Gun or other craft glue (be sure it is low temp otherwise you will melt your Styrofoam)

Ombre Glittered Candle Tutorial

I created this as my entry for the Pinterest Challenge on Monday after I saw this pin. You can check out the original post here.

I changed mine up a little and made it with an Ombre effect but it is SOOOO simple and fast to do. 

I love how it came out!

Here's how to make one for yourself. 

 Supplies:

-Candle- can be in glass like mine or just a regular pillar candle

-Glitter

-Double sided tape

-Wax Paper- to catch the excess glitter

To start, make sure your glass is nice and clean.

Place your double sided tape on the glass where you want your glitter to start and go around the jar until the ends overlap slightly. 

Only place ONE strip of tape at a time!!

6 mth Adventures of Miss P

About time I share Miss P's 6 month adventures since she is already 7 1/2 months old! 

 This was a pretty big month for Miss P and we had a lot of fun. 

Here's a little recap on our little ball of ever changing energy.

 Like every other month, we had our little photo shoot on her 6 month birthday. 

During our photo shoot she turned into a little monster wanting to take and eat my camera. lol 

I love her faces in some of these shots!
