"Give Thanks" Plaque

With Halloween being tomorrow, I thought it would be ok if I skip ahead to Thanksgiving now.
I actually made this last year and shared it on a friend's blog and never had the chance to share it here with all of you. So here ya go!

Here is a simple craft that anyone can do in a short period of time.

Give Thanks Plaque

Here's how you can create your own.
Supplies:
-Plaque (You can buy a plain wooden one from a craft store but I had this from a Habitat for Humanity Restore. It is a kitchen drawer front.)
-Scrapbook Paper
-Mod Podge
-Dimensional Magic (I used the Gold Glitter option.)
-A cutting machine to cut your letters out. Could stickers or chip board letters as well.

Baby M 2.0 Update: Week 38

Oh, I am ready for this pregnancy to be over. Not much longer now!

How far along? 38 weeks
Total weight gain: Uh... I am not sure. I have lost track. I'd say I've gained enough! lol
Maternity clothes? For as large and in charge that this belly is- definitely in maternity clothes.
Stretch marks?
I don't think I have any new ones yet but I have noticed that the ones on my sides have looked a little red like perhaps they are getting longer or stretching more.
Sleep: Still sleeping relatively well. I do feel like I am getting up a little more to go to the bathroom at night.
Best moment this week: Finally got all the backsplash tile up in the kitchen. Just need to grout it now. Also, got a lot of other small things done around the house. Plus, we carved P's first pumpkin. She wasn't a fan of the insides, AT ALL, but I think she still had fun with it.
Miss Anything? I just want to breathe!!!!! Ready to not have a sore lower back and hips as well.

Movement: She definitely moves a lot. She is definitely running out of space in there and likes to make her presence known by pushing herself up, out and under my ribs.
Food cravings: nope, nothing
Anything making you queasy or sick: Mostly just letting too much time pass between eating. I swear, if I don't eat as soon as I feel like I am a little hungry, then it hits me out of no where and I am shakey.
Gender: GIRL!!!
Labor Signs: Not really but did find out at my doctor's appt. yesterday that I am dilated 2-3 cm. and 75% effaced. :) Yay for progress!
Belly Button (in or out): I'm gonna just say out. It isn't fully flat but I have a feeling it will be by the end which is interesting because it wasn't with Miss P.

Wedding Rings (on or off): On but towards the evenings I do feel like my fingers are swelling a little.
Symptoms: Congestion! BLAH! Lower back pain if I am walking way too much. Hip pain when sleeping on one side too long. I am definitely warm/hot at night. Going to the bathroom a little more these days. And, this belly is getting heavy... I'm done!
Happy or Moody most of the time: Oh, I definitely had some moody days this week. I was still happy most of the time but I have also had some not so fun pissy, crying moments.
Looking forward to: My parents arrive this week so that means... whenever Baby M wants to arrive she can!!! :)

DIY Hot Air Balloon Tutorial

A few months back someone linked up some adorable hot air balloons up to my Catch a Glimpse party and I knew they would be something super fun for the new baby.

I popped on over to check out the tutorial on Sew. Craft. Create and saw how easy they were and was excited about them but wasn't sure where or what I would do with them since at the time, Baby M was going to share a room with her big sister.

Once we decided that the girls would have their own rooms, I still wasn't sure if and how I wanted to use them. We decided to make an area in the hall between the bedrooms as a changing table area for both girls by using the antique dresser we had in the guest room, now Baby M's room, so I thought they would be super cute above the dresser and finally got to work on them this past week.

Here's my how to:

Supplies:
- Paper party lanterns
- Small Treat Buckets (I bought mine in the Dollar section at Target)
-Twine
-Ribbon
-Hot Glue Gun
-Paint

Tasty Tuesday- Pizza Casserole Recipe

I have been trying to make some freezer meals before Baby M 2.0 arrives so I pulled this trusty recipe out of my recipe box.

It is an easy recipe, which is always great, and who doesn't love pizza?

37 weeks... FULL TERM! YAY!

How far along? 37 weeks
Total weight gain: Uh... I am not sure. I have lost track. I'd say I've gained enough! lol

Stretch marks?
I don't think I have any new ones yet but I have noticed that the ones on my sides have looked a little red like perhaps they are getting longer or stretching more.
Sleep: Still sleeping relatively well. I have had a night or two that I wake up to go to the bathroom and it takes me a while to fall back to sleep. And I do feel like I am getting up a little more to go to the bathroom at night.
Best moment this week: Got some frames put up on the nursery walls. Got another project completed for above the changing table. We took Miss P to Boo at the Zoo and she was a little confused at first to what she was suppose to do but caught on quickly. She looks super cute in her Halloween costume too! :)
Miss Anything? I just want to breathe!!!!! Ready to not have a sore lower back and hips as well.

Belly Button (in or out): I'm gonna just say out. It isn't fully flat but I have a feeling it will be by the end which is interesting because it wasn't with Miss P.

Looking forward to: Hoping to figure out and make some decorations and get a few things up that I have in the nursery. Carving our pumpkins this coming up weekend.

Wacky Apple Product Review + GIVEAWAY

I recently had the opportunity to receive and review some products from Wacky Apple.

Wacky Apple is a family owned and operated local Colorado brand dedicated to organic farming and producing delicious applesauce, fruit juices and fruit snacks.
Wacky Apple products are made from naturally sweet organic apples, free of pesticides; contain no added water, no artificial colors, no preservatives and no added sugar. Perfect for all those little kiddos in your life!

Their products are Colorado Proud, gluten free, vegan, and contain NO GMO’s.
Wacky Apple makes delicious, fun, organic food your on-the-go family won’t stop eating and their mission is to get healthy snacks into the hands (and mouth's) of kids so they may develop their own nutritious and healthy living habits!
Wacky Apple is available in all Colorado Whole Foods, Sprouts, King Soopers + City Markets.

Their products include 5 flavors of organic apple sauce, 5 flavors of organic apple juice, 3 flavors of Flat Fruit (AKA: fruit leather), and seasonal organic fresh fruit such as apples, pears and black berries.

I received a gift pack full of all of these goodies.
It included numerous flavors of apple sauce, apple juice, and the flat fruit.

It arrived RIGHT before lunch so I immediately pulled out some of the items for Miss P to try and she loved every bit of it.
I was a little worried she wouldn't like some of the flavors of applesauce or juice just because she wasn't familar with some of the fruits that the apples were mixed with but she hasn't had any issure at all!

I will definitely be looking out for Wacky Apple products when I head out grocery shopping to buy more since I love the fact that they are organic and all natural.

You can find all sorts of recipes on their website to help you incorporate Wacky Apple products into meals for you and your kids.

Now onto the giveaway.
One lucky reader will win and receive a Wacky Apple Gift Pack just like the one in the picture above.

Enter using the Rafflecopter Widget below.

GOOD LUCK!!

Tub and Shower Cleaner- Pinterest Find

For this month's Pinterest Challenge Party I decided to try something out that I've been wanting to try forever now- making my own tub and shower cleaner.

The original pin came from The Craft Patch if you'd like to check it out.

All you need is some White Vinegar and Dawn Dish Soap.

The image I pinned said to heat up the vinegar in the microwave for 90 secs. and then add the soap but microwaving it isn't necessary.
It also calls for equals parts of each but I didn't put the same amount of Dawn in it because I had a friend who tried it say she had a ton of bubbles so I used a little less.

I wanted to try it on the floor of our shower.
I actually washed the floor with a commercial cleanser first and as you can see, it didn't do anything.
I mixed up this cleanser and sprayed it on. It actually said to leave it for an hour before wiping but I didn't let it sit that long, not long at all actually, and it still worked pretty good.
Next time, I will let it sit the whole time to see if it does any better.

I also used it on our shower door and it worked great at removing the soap scum.

I only made a small amount of this to test it out but I will definitely make a bigger batch next time. Hopefully, it will save us some money in the long run as well from buying those expensive cleansers.
