DIY Book Advent Calendar from Cuddles and Chaos

Jen from Cuddles and Chaos is here today. Welcome Jen!

Hey guys! I'm Jen from Cuddles and Chaos and I'm so excited to share our advent calendar tradition here.

I don't know about you, but I'm a huge fan of the whole idea of advent calendars. I'm one of those people who decorates for Christmas immediately after Thanksgiving (I won't lie, I had a really tough time holding back this year!) and I love everything about the holiday season.

At the same time, I am not a big fan of the idea of tons of little plastic surprises or sugary treats during a time that's bursting with both to begin with. Plus, it kind of seems like a waste of money to buy a bunch of little trinkets right before a major gift giving holiday. Especially since said trinkets will probably break or be declared boring before New Years Day.

Easy Thanksgiving Centerpiece Ideas from Craftbaby

The sweet gals from Craftbaby are here today!

Hello from Craftbaby
We're so excited to help welcome little Sadie into the world by giving Allison a break from blogging... and by giving you busy gals some quick and easy Thanksgiving centerpiece projects!

Thanksgiving is right around the corner and although you may have your recipes all ready to go, you may not have your decor!

Here are some last minute centerpiece ideas using three flameless pillar candles. craftbaby-flameless-candles As winter rolls in, I love the warmth of candles to welcome the season. Rich, woodsy flavors always feel so festive when the weather turns cool. Simple as they are, candles create a lovely, soft light that can transform any mood. There’s only one problem: I have a toddler, and toddler + fire = not a great idea.

Giving Jar from Wait Til Your Father Gets Home

Welcome Meredith from Wait Til Your Father Gets Home.

Hi A Glimpse Inside readers!
Before I introduce myself, can I just say, how stinkin' cute is the newest addition to Allison's sweet family?! Seriously. Those two girls are real life baby dolls! I know Allison is busy enjoying life with two littles, so I was eager to help her out while she takes some quality mommy time these next couple of weeks.

I'm Meredith.
I'm a wife, a mama, a milk pourer, diaper changer, and hot dog cutter. This is my family...

I'm also a blogger. My neck of the woods is Wait Til Your Father Gets Home. When I chose that name for my blog, my hubs was a member of the normal 9-5 crowd. Now we are fortunate enough to have him working from home, ironic, huh?!

Okay, enough about me. Let's talk ThanksGIVING.

I'm here today to share a super cute {and ridiculously easy craft with all of you today}.
I call it...

The Giving Jar might be the easiest {and cutest} way to pay it forward.

Princess Hooded Towel from Crazy Little Projects

The talented Amber from Crazy Little Projects is here today with a sewing tutorial for you all.

Hello! This is Amber from Crazy Little Projects happy to share a tutorial with you today while Allison snuggles her little Sadie! In honor of Sadie's birth I thought it would be fun to do a baby themed, girly girl post, so today I am giving you...a Princess Hooded Towel Tutorial!
Princess Hooded Towel Tutorial by Crazy Little Projects

Now first you should know that I have no little girls, just 4 little boys around these parts. And yes, that's my youngest modeling the hooded towel. He was ever so happy to do that. Give him a few years and he won't want to have a thing to do with princesses!

I do a monthly hooded towel on my blog-everything from frogs and monkeys to pink bunnies and sharks, but I think this is the first one I've done that's not an animal. I've had a lot of readers request a princess towel though, so I finally went for it.

Pumpkin Delight Recipe from Play. Party. Pin.

Britni from Play. Party. Pin. is here today with a recipe for you all today.

Hi! I am Britni and I blog over at Play. Party. Pin. I am so excited to be guest posting for Allison while she snuggles with that sweet little girl of hers. I am a stay-at-home to a seven-month old boy who just decided he doesn't want to stay put anymore and crawls all over the place. When I'm not chasing my little one, I love planning and hosting parties. My blog is all about my party ideas from recipes, to crafts, to the perfect game to go with your party theme. I'd love it if you wanted to stop by my blog sometime to say hi.

I am not a huge fan of pumpkin pie so when Thanksgiving rolls around I am always looking for pumpkin desserts that aren't pumpkin pie. So today I'm sharing a recipe for pumpkin lovers who don't love pumpkin pie, pumpkin delight.

Create a Family Binder from Simply in Control

Seher from Simply in Control is here today to help us all get a little more organized by creating a Family Binder.

Hi there! I'm Seher from Simply in Control, an organizational blog. I would like to thank Allison for allowing me to be a guest blogger for her and also congratulate her on her little bundle of joy! :)

Today I wanted to share with you my family binder. It's filled with all of our essential documents. Putting it in one binder is great for quick access and in case of emergency, it's a good idea to have everything in one place at your fingertips!

I bought a simple, plain black binder, 1.5in wide, and decorated it with scrapbook paper and stickers.

Here's a little bit about me: I'm a graphic designer by day and a blogger by night. Vegan Chocolate Ginger Cookies from Because I Like Chocolate

Today, Mallory from Because I Like Chocolate is here with a recipe for all of you.
Take it away Mallory.

Now that it's November I'm hurtling head first into all things holiday.
There's no better cookie for this time of year than ginger cookies. But in my mind, traditional ginger cookies have one thing missing; chocolate.
Stir some chocolate chips into a soft, chewy ginger cookie and you have yourself a winner. Chocolate and ginger are one of those pairings that just works. In fact, why don't all ginger cookies have chocolate in them?
I know one thing, from this point on, all the ones I make are going to!

Bathroom Decor from Dreaming about Someday

Please welcome Aubrey from Dreaming about Someday today.

Hi I'm Aubrey and I blog over at Dreaming about Someday. I am happy to be here to give Allison a little break.
I love DIY projects. I especially love making things for my house. I see a lot of really cute things in stores. I have what I call "I can make that syndrome". One of my favorite rooms in the house to decorate is the bathroom. It's a small space so it's not overwhelming, and it usually isn't too expensive to decorate. I like a lot of color so I typically decide a color scheme and go from there.
I recently moved into a new place. I kept the shower curtain/hooks and hand towels but wanted to add more.

Samsung Chromebook Review

I received this computer to review from Staples but all opinions in this post are 100% my own.

I recently was lucky enough to receive a Samsung Chromebook from Staples to review.

It was a pretty good day when this happy mail arrived.

Travis and I immediately pulled it out of the box and started it up.

It is SUPER light, only weighing 2.5 lbs., and compact being only 0.8 inches thin which is great if you travel a lot.
Plus, it has over 6.5 hours of battery life.

The Chromebook uses a Google Chrome Operating System and comes with the leading Google products, like Gmail and Hangouts already built-in. Plus, you can download thousands of other web apps from the Web Store.

I have really enjoyed using the Samsung Chromebook.
The screen is nice and bright with vibrant colors.

Fall Pom Pom Garland from Craft Snob

Hello everyone!
With my due date less than a week away, I am taking a bit of a blogging maternity leave.
I have lined up some fabulous guest bloggers and I hope you enjoy them while I am adjusting to life with a 17 mth old and a newborn.
I'll pop back in from time to time to share news about Baby M 2.0 and a few projects but I won't officially be back until after the holidays.

So please give all the guest bloggers some love and enjoy! :)

I'd like to welcome Sara from Craft Snob today with a super adorable craft.

Fall Pom Pom Garland
Hi there! I'm Sara, also known as the Craft Snob, and creator of We Sew Crooked, a fun, fresh course for the nervous sewer.
I'm sharing how to make my fall pom pom garland with you that only requires two supplies.
Since I have four kids, redecorating for every fourth quarter holiday is not realistic time wise. So, I chose a green color that could carry my garland decor from October to the end of the year.
