Owl Pillow Box Favors

I have another item that I created for Miss S' birthday party
I created some pillow boxes to use as favors and they were super cute and easy to make.

Here is how I created it.

 Supplies:
-Scrapbook paper
-Double Sided Tape or Glue Stick
-Silhouette Machine

I used my Silhouette Cameo to make these boxes so I browsed their online store and found numerous pillow boxes that looked like owls but I decided to pick this Owl Pillow Box to use.

I broke up all the parts of the box into separate windows so I could use multiple papers and cut everything out at once for the number of boxes I was making.

When the box body itself is cut, the machine cuts perforations where the box gets folded to make it even easier.

Fold the box and use double sided tape or a glue stick to put it together.

The ruffles for the eyes get cut into two separate pieces so you will need to glue these together as well.

Then glue the eyes onto the ruffles.
I just used a black marker to draw on the pupils.

Now it is time to attached to owl body. Place tape or glue near the bottom of eyes. Don't go above center too much. The eyes will stick above the top of the box.

Tape down.

Double check that you didn't take the eyes onto the flaps and see if you can close them.

Then apply the beak.
And they are done!

I ruffled the feathers on the front before I put them together.
I used some thinner paper, so I also used double sided tape on the bottom flaps to make sure they would stay closed once I filled them.
I placed some candy and a little paint palette I found at Party City inside.
