Lucky Rainbow Sign Tutorial + GIVEAWAY

I recently had the opportunity to help out the fabulously talented Amy from Mod Podge Rocks! by getting to try out the new Mod Podge Rocks! Peel & Stick Stencils by Plaid. Amy totally created these and they are so fun with 6 different designs to choose from.

I received the Chevron Stencil and I knew I wanted another St. Patrick's Day craft so this is what I created with the help from my stencil.

Want to know how I created it... here ya go!

Supplies:
-Wooden Plaque
-Mod Podge
-Mod Podge Rocks! Peel and Stick Stencil
-Paint
-Paintbrush
-Glitter in colors of Rainbow
-cardstock
-cutting machine or letter stencils
-Mod Podge Dimensional Magic (I used the one with gold glitter)

I had to start by giving my plaque a light sanding since it already had a finish on it.
I've had this plaque for a few years and bought it at the Habitat for Humanity Restore.
Once sanded, I wiped it clean of all the dust.
If you have an unfinished plaque, then you don't have to worry about this part.

What's in Your Handbag Series- Sarah from Bombshell Bling

This week's What's in Your Handbag post is a day early due to a post I already had scheduled for tomorrow.
Sarah from Bombshell Bling is here today to show off her handbag with all of you.

Hello! I am so excited to be here as the first blogger to guest post in Allison's new "What's In Your Handbag?!" series!
My name is Sarah and I blog over at Bombshell Bling. I am a former elementary school teacher with a love for all things sparkly and colorful. I blog about everything from recipes and parties to jewelry and kid crafts. I would love for you to pop over and say hello!

What's in my Handbag
Prepare yourself, because my hang bag is a lot bigger and a lot messier than Allison's.
I am a scattered, messy person, what can I say? I have an almost five year old boy and an almost two year old girl, so my "handbag" is actually a diaper bag. A JJ Cole diaper bag that my mother-in-law bought for me, to be more specific. I really like it because it is huge, has lots of pockets, and it is much cuter than my previous diaper bags. MIL did well, dontcha think?

Easy Felt Rainbow Garland

I have another easy garland for you today.
I don't have a lot of decorations for St. Patrick's Day and I thought I would try to make a few things for it this year just for fun.

I was out shopping one day and picked up some felt in the colors of the rainbow for a garland and this is what I created.

Again, this is super easy and took me less than 30 mins to create it.
I've seen something similar on Our Humble Abode but can't find the tutorial now.

Here is how I made it.
Supplies:
-Felt in the colors of the rainbows
-Scissors
-Sewing Machine

New Series: What's in Your Handbag

Happy Wednesday everyone!
I am excited to announce a fun new series that will be every Wednesday here on A Glimpse Inside now through the end of May.

What you keep inside your purse can say a lot about yourself.
It could be really organized with little trash or extra items or it could be stuffed full of EVERYTHING from old receipts to kid's toys.
What kind of handbag do you have?

I asked some of my bloggy friends to share a glimpse inside their handbags with all of you!
What better way to get to know someone than getting a personal look into their purses.

So be sure to come back every Wednesday to see inside a new blogger's purse every week!

Today, I am giving you a glimpse into my purse.
I will start by saying I bought my purse at Target this fall.

Catch a Glimpse Party #169

So apparently Inlinkz updated as of the last party.
I am not a fan that it takes you to a whole new page to add your links but I have no choice but to do it that way now. Sorry!!
I have even had trouble with it not showing the images that I've uploaded so I hope that you guys don't have any issues with that as well.

Valentine's Day Mantle Decor

You have pretty much seen my Valentine's Day mantle in most Valentine's Day craft posts but I still wanted to dedicate a post just to it.

Here is a break down of the decorations.

I was going to take the window off my mantle but then decided I wanted the height and knew I could use it well.
I made two small garlands and draped them on the window and hung my "14" Plaque on the window.
I then printed out one of my Valentine's Day Printables, taped it onto some foam core board and then just leaned it up against the window.

Miss S' 3 Month Adventures

This past Saturday Miss S turned 3 months old.
Time is flying by! I can't believe my baby is this old already.
It is super fun to watch her personality come out more and more though.

Here is a recap of her third month.

Started off the month as usual with a photo shoot.
She is such a little mover that it is hard to get cute, clear shots of her but I managed to get quite a few good ones.

Miss S' Nursery Reveal

It is about time I reveal Miss S' nursery don't ya think?!

It used to be our guest room and we knew we would have quite a few guests after S was born so we just kept the mattresses on the floor in there until all the guests had visited. Now that we don't expect anyone else, we were able to take the mattresses out and I could finally take pictures of her room.

So without further ado... here is her nursery reveal.

I will start back at the beginning before I get into all the decorative details of her room.

You will probably recall that we built the plank wall on one wall of the nursery.

We also painted the room a pear green color and oh boy... was that an adventure to pick the paint!
We weren't sure if we were going green or purple so we first brought home purple paint samples and I painted them all over the room. I wasn't happy with the purples so off to Lowe's to find a green. I took the fabric and their color matching machine was broke so we just tried to get as close as possible. I came home and painted the greens all over the room and I still wasn't happy so I decided to mix the greens together and that was the color!

It is another super easy and cheap project which is always great!

Ready to see how I made them?
Here ya go!

 Supplies:
-Wooden Blocks
-Paint
-Stamp
-Ink
-Scrapbook alphabet letters stickers
