Cream Linen Ribbon Wreath

I have another wreath for you today.
This will probably turn into my new spring/summer wreath to change things up a bit. It is clean, simple, and I love how it came out!

I created this just like I do with my burlap bubble wreaths but I just used some regular ribbon instead. And I decided to incorporate the welcome sign I made in the center of it for a little something extra but you don't need to do that.

Here is how I made it.

Supplies:
-Wreath form
-Ribbon (don't mind the one in the picture. I was originally going to use it and then changed my mind.)
-Floral Pins
-Welcome sign (optional)
-Fishing wire

If adding a welcome sign to the center of your wreath, begin by cutting and tying fishing wire around the sign and around the wreath so it hangs in the center.

Here you can see how I tied the fishing wire so the sign is hanging freely in the center.
I also tied a ribbon at the top of my wreath form at this stage that I will be using to hang my wreath.

Then it is time to apply the ribbon. I began with the cream linen ribbon and used the floral pins to pin long, wide bubbles around the wreath until the ribbon ran out. I was able to go around the wreath 3 times by the way I was spacing my ribbon. And if you don't like the way some of the bubbles look or the placement of it, just pull out the floral pin and reposition.

I then took this cream canvas ribbon (I found it at Michael's) with white herringbone printed on it and used it in any of the gaps left on the wreath. Work your way around and through the other ribbon to intertwine them seamlessly.

I love these two ribbon together and that the printed canvas ribbon is very subtle but adds a nice little something extra.

I also love how the colors in the welcome sign pops out the center of the wreath with all the cream.

It is nice and simple and I can't wait to put it on our front door to see how it pops off our teal door.

Wreaths don't always have to be super colorful to make a big impact!!

And when I do finally put it on the door, I will be sure to share a picture of it. :)

  1. What a fun wreath! I love the neutrals mixed with the bright pops of color at the center. We'd be honored to have you share this at our weekly link party. Hope to see you there! http://www.thelifeofjenniferdawn.com/2015/01/a-little-bird-told-me-link-party-125.html
