DIY Rustic Snowmen for Your Christmas Farmhouse Decor

rustic-snowmen-diy

Hi readers! It's Molly from Just a Little Creativity, and I'm so excited to share this cute Christmas project with you. As we all know, farmhouse style is all the rage.

And if you've browsed Pinterest, you'll see that this decorating style looks fantastic in Christmas decor.

These rustic snowmen are easy to make, and add the perfect touch of the distressed, vintage look to your farmhouse mantel this year.

I actually picked up my set of snowmen last year at Target, on clearance after the holidays. But you can find unfinished wood snowmen like these at most craft stores during the holidays.

To begin, I painted them white with chalk paint. I'm sure regular craft paint will work as well, you just may need to prime them first.

DIY Rustic Christmas Tree Stand

Happy Tuesday everyone!
Have you fully recovered from the going back to work after a long holiday break yesterday?
In case you haven't, I have something for you today that you can look at and decide if you want to attempt this coming weekend.

Travis's parents were taking down their old wood barn to replace it with something better for their horses so while we were in TN over the summer we piled up a whole bunch of pieces and brought them back with us. I wasn't sure what they'd be used for but they were coming. I came up with two projects then it hit me, why not make a cool Christmas tree stand using it? This is what Travis came up with and created for me.

Here is how you can make one for yourself!

Supplies:
-Wood (we used reclaimed but you can used new as well)
-Table Saw
-Nail Gun
-Wood Glue

Simple Christmas Wreath

Did you all have a fabulous Thanksgiving? I sure hope so!

I've totally slacked on the Christmas posts so far this year so I thought I really better start since December is looming and so I decided that this month's Craft with Me post would be holiday related.

If you haven't figured it out by now with my many years of blogging, I love wreaths!
I could create a wreath all the time for any holiday, occasion, or just because.
They are so easy. You can do so many different types of wreath and use so many different materials.

I wanted to make a new Christmas wreath so I thought why not just make it this month's Craft with Me post. I didn't want something over the top so I went pretty basic and I was done in a flash.

Here is how to create one for yourself.

Printable Christmas Gift Tags

Can you believe that Christmas is a month away already? I sure can't!!
Where has this year gone? Seriously!?
I feel like I say that every year but this year really has gone by so quickly!

I only have a few Christmas gifts purchased and I should go ahead and wrap them to get ahead of schedule. Do you have any of your gifts yet?
Well if you do, I designed some fun gift tags that you can print out. They would be great for presents or you can put them on jars or baskets for teacher gifts.

MHCT&M: Three Popular Christmas Decorating Trends

Hello friends!
Welcome to another week of Must Have Craft Tips!

Kara from Mine for the Making here this week to share three popular Christmas decorating trends you are going to love!
Now don't get me wrong... I don't ever skip over Thanksgiving. Who could skip over the best meal of the year?! But I definitely don't mind having my turkey dinner by the tree. And even if you don't like to decorate as early as I do, you can pin and save these ideas until you are ready to decorate.

The first Christmas trend and one of my personal favorites is Buffalo Plaid.
In fact, be ready for a few buffalo plaid inspired Christmas projects on Mine for the Making soon! But in the meantime... check out these beautiful ways to decorate with the popular plaid of buffalo.

How fun is this Buffalo Plaid Hot Cocoa Bar?! It's so festive and pretty. I love the combo of plaid and gold.

I love these Buffalo Plaid pillows made from blankets! So cozy and cute.

There are a ton of Buffalo Plaid printables floating around cyberspace.
This Baby It's Warm Inside print is one of my favorites!

My other very favorite Christmas decor trend is the gorgeous farmhouse Christmas style. I love the hints of rustic and weathered and vintage.

I am so in love with this rustic Coca-Cola crate look! Stack them up and set a Christmas tree inside and you've got an adorable farmhouse look.

How gorgeous are these farmhouse Christmas stairs. I love the giant wooden letters and the old vintage books.

This chippy, old, mint door on the wall behind the tiny Christmas tree gives me all the heart eyes. If this doesn't scream farmhouse Christmas, I don't know what does.

And last but definitely not least, let's have ourselves a BRIGHT Christmas, shall we?!
This is far from traditional Christmas decor, but lovely just the same.

Take-Out Style Noodles

The other night I found myself wanting noodles from a takeout place about 20 minutes from our house. I also found myself showered, in pajama pants, and possessing very little desire to go pick up the noodles I craved. Fortunately, I also had the ingredients to make my own in the fridge and pantry, so I went about making my own.

I realize my fridge and your fridge may not have all the same ingredients, so you may or may not require a run to the store. However, if you do find yourself needing to grab a few things to make this dish, the ingredients I used are all very easy to find in just about any grocery store.

I’ve also included a few variations, just in case you need to make substitutions. Dishes like these usually lend themselves to a few changes with no loss in flavor or ease. It’s also a great way to use and stretch any leftover veggies or meat that won’t make a meal on their own.

Next time you find yourself wanting a large bowl of noodles but you don’t necessarily want to go get them, try pulling these together. I think you’ll enjoy them.
