DIY Moroccan Inspired Tea Glass

I am back again today with another craft we created at Miss S's birthday party.
As I stated in my Cardboard Tube Genie Bangle post yesterday, we has a Shimmer and Shine theme party. We ran with more of the Moroccan tones for the party and I wanted to figure out another activity to do at the party and Travis suggested this.

Moroccans, and other parts of the world, drink tea and they drink them in beautiful colored glasses that have intrigue designs on them in gold.
After finding these glasses at the dollar store, we knew what to do!

These are so easy to make and the kids loved them!

Supplies:
-Glasses
-Oil-based Gold Paint Markers
-Oven

Begin by washing and drying the glasses completely.
Then it is time to draw whatever design you'd like. I free handed it but you could use stencils as well if you want a more even, intrigue design.

Complete your design and let dry completely.

Once dry, place in a cool oven and bake for 20 mins. at 350 degrees.
When the timer goes off, turn off the oven but let the glass cool completely in the oven before removing.

And that's it!
You now have some Moroccan tea glasses for yourself!

I made my different but you can make them the same as well.

NOTE: These are hand wash ONLY to ensure the paint doesn't come off quickly.

All the kids at the party loved being able to draw on their glasses. Most were just scribble lines or colored in areas and their names, but they were excited to customize their own glass.

Stay tuned next week when I share the party as a whole!

Check out my DIY Holiday Plates that you can also make using oil-based paint pens.
